How has the internet changed society? What is the impact of that change in our lives? First of all what is the internet?  The internet is a global network connecting millions of computers, forming a web of communication that is uncollapsible. On this network there are exchanges of data, news, opinions, email services, online stores, social networks and entertainment.  The internet is the revolutionized tool in today’s world can be involved in nearly every part of our lives.
The Internet has changed the way many businesses work and advertise. Dell has been very sucessful from the intregration of the the company into the internet. Allowing their webpage to take orders online detailed information about the products. According to a study funded by Dell 75% of companys offer basic information online while only 55% provide online ordering. Only 29% offered order status information. Dell has high hopes to cut costs by as much as 15 milliion in the first six months of operation. Along with the selling 50 million worth of products a day useing its website.

When get on Google there is a million or maybe billion different things that you could search, with all of the different websites with their similar or striking variety of content. With about 1.58 billion internet users thoughout the whole world each one with different and individual interest and find a different impact on society though our choices of what we do with this tool. Some may use the computer for leisure games and a businessman may used it for their work all online. It will be a major thing for the business man but a minor thing for the one playing games on it.
The internet has a not so pretty side along with filled with traps and cages. Their is all sorts of obsence material used for all sorts of different ways.  The internet has been used maliciously with spyware worms and virus's chat rooms, with their hazards. With the endless amount of information it can be easier for people to find next to anything to support their ideas. These things plus many more can be a bit of a dark side to the internet.

The internet is an amazing tool that we almost all have the ability to use. The internet has impacted society though us positively predominately.  When we get on the internet we choose where we browse and why we browse in our ability to choose. Some people maybe use the internet and give negative results to society with what they use it for. The internet affects different people in different ways but the only thing we can control is our ability to choose how we use the internet so it will have a positive impact on our lives and in turn on the society we live in.

I am living book and I choose to be The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a volume of Holy Scripture comparable to the bible involving the inhabitants of the Ancient Americans. It was written by ancient prophets and their words were abridged together by a prophet-historian named Mormon. The climax of the record is the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ among the Nephites soon after his resurrection. I want to be very clear that I choose to be the Book of Mormon because of the value that I find in it for me. I want to simply share with you the value I find in it and you may do with it as you choose.
The Record was translated by a modern day prophet on earth from the record he was led to. That sound absurd but I what I find important is not the but the reasons why. Why would a young man at the age of 14 claim to be a prophet and experience hardship and persecution all his life if it was not true. He was dragged out of his home by angry mobs at night to be tarred and feathered (to have boiling tar poured on our skin and the have feathers dumped on you) mainly to humiliate you, not to mention the pain of having your child die from the effects of exposure to the cold on that night. To me it just wouldn't make much sense why he would endure such experiences if it was all lie or a hoax.
Joseph Smith Once said of the book "I told the Brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book".  Scriptural accounts of the faith of others strengthen our own. As Nephi's family was commanded by the lord to leave Jerusalem and they had no other reason to go than to follow the lords command and even they didn't all completely agree with the decision. Nephi was beaten by his own brothers and ridiculed and he says "I will go I will do the things which the Lord hath commanded for I know the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he hath commandeth them". It really impresses me that the things we are asked to do which seem daunting that the lord provides the will provide a way. That by following Nephi's counsel that we come closer to our Savior and understand him better.
Many do not trust the Book of Mormon because of the way in which it came to be. It seems foreign to many and it is a lot to believe lets be honest. And in a lot of ways it is very hard to believe I realize this. Every person is eventually backed up to a wall of faith and there must make his stand. Everyone can look into the principles taught by the Book of Mormon and find them to be true, false, or in between but I know in my experience that the Book of Mormon has taught me gospel principles by which I can choose to live my life for the better.
I would say that I would want to be the Book of Mormon so that I can continue on my path to Coming unto Christ. Many Books have poor re-read values but there are so many different stages and lessons to be learned in life that it can be a new experience every time. The Book of Mormon I know to be good and to have blessed my life and the way I view the world it really has helped make me who i am today.

Should Reasoning Skills Be Taught in Primary School

Should reasoning skills be taught in elementary schools?  Reasoning skills is the use of reason, especially to form conclusions, inferences, or judgments. In elementary schools being able to have a sound understanding or training in reasoning skills would improve our abilities to solve problems and help in classes in the future.
Our society that is becoming more complex almost everywhere we look. It requires people to handle huge amounts of information that just goes outdated fast. (Johnson 184-199).  Hence, students should not only be taught basic knowledge and skills subjects, but they should be taught general reasoning skills to manage  information processing.  Letting them connect the information into meaningful representations and distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information for the specific task. (Koning, 2002).
The University of Oxford did a study where they trained a group of children in logical reasoning 13 months before the tests and found that they made more progress in mathematics than a control group who were not given this training.  They found a casual connection in the kids between their logical reasoning and their mathematical learning. (Nunes,2007). This study shows that teaching of logical reasoning was highly sucessful and had good lasting effects on the learning of the student even after 13 months from the logical instruction.  The effect of this instruction is amazing. Just the fact that young students could be that impacted by instruction is profound.
Lots of people have a lot of different views on the subject, but this is the main concern we will focus on. How can you provide real proof that the instruction of reasoning skills is what is actually improving these skills, and it is a viable concern. The sources have been a research designed or survey in which the same subjects are observed repeatedly over a period of time in an effort to eliminate that concern. I realize that we can’t say that it is an absolute fact, but we can see that there is a connection that definitely exists between reasoning and the effect it has on students. We should not ignore the connection that exists.
Reasoning skills being taught in school would be a benefit for our society.  It improves our ability to problem solve and to deal with the complexities that we face. It would have a positive impact on our math ability and possibly on other any subject that requires cognitive problem solving. If nothing else, being able help the teachers in school to shift their attention from determining whether an answer is right or wrong to determining how the answer was found will help them teach children more effective reasoning skills.  This will help children enhance the learning of reasoning in their individual and future subjects.

Let’s step back and take a look at another tool with great effect, firearms. Firearms are a huge tool in war for the good of the country. I have a close friend that is a cop that goes out on night shifts potenially at the risk of his life to protect and serve, with a young family at home.  Guns are also being used in gang related incidents and drug wars both ugly things. Tools are very dependant upon the person using the
tool whether it is for good or bad even if they think it is for good.

When get on Google there is a million or maybe billion different things that you could look up, with all of the different websites with their similar or striking variety of content.
